Open Mic (Without the Mic) with Born Again Floozies
December 10, 2005, 6:00 pm
Il Troubadore and Corner Coffee host an acoustic Open Mic the second Saturday of every month. Each show features a local artist and this month, Born Again Floozies joins us!

Gypsy sidewalk trio: Guitar, tap dance, marching bass drum and tuba.If you appreciate the originality of Tom Waits, and the flare of the Flaming Lips, you'll dig the Floozies. The Born Again Floozies are guitar, tap dance, a 1922 marching bass drum, and tuba. The Floozies' songwriting is ornery and balanced out by a sharp deadpan sense of humor.
And speakin' of deadpan, you ain't HEARD AC/DC's “Highway to Hell” until you've heard the Floozies do it: Welch bangin’ on the acoustic, singin’ his melodic rendition is pretty cool, but when you add the beautiful Libby Milliken tap dancing the rhythm and Ben Vokits blasting the tuba, well it's just bad-ass.
