Brief write-up of il Troubadore appearance at the Knickerbocker Saloon in Lafayette, Indiana in the Journal and Courier.
Saturday: The first show of 2010 in downtown Lafayette will feature two of Indianapolis' top talents. First, Il Troubadore has been a consistent visitor to downtown Lafayette for the past several years. The Middle Eastern folk band has vocalist and mandolin player Robert Bruce Scott and cellist Jon Silpayamanant at its core. More recently percussionist Paul Radecki was added. The music is energetic yet leans to classical sounds of the Middle East. However, Il Troubadore has been known to dip into modern music with the occasional cover transformed into the band's own. Il Troubadore's belly dancer Amirah will be shimmying along to the songs as well.
