Come celebrate Halloween with two of the area's most interesting bands--eclectic Celtic band Wild Mercy, and Il Troubadore, the region's only medieval rock band. Come prepared for an evening of music ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, and everything in between! Come see and hear classically trained musicians gone bad! Costumes encouraged
Wild Mercy will follow with a set of Halloween-themed songs featuring corporate zombies, vampire truckers, werewolves with dandruff, the dark side of Oz and Wonderland, monsters under the bed, pumpkins with attitude, warped fairy tales, highwaymen, shapeshifters of various sorts, and more, all done with their usual eclectic Celtic/jazz/ rock/folk flair.
Il Troubadore will start the evening with their usual eclectic mix. With a growing list of over 700 songs from over 60 countries and in 37 languages at their command, expect styles that range from Euro-American pop genres (e.g. Heavy Metal, Disco, Country, and Rock) to world music folk (e.g. Irish, Scottish, Albanian, Bhangra) to Asian film and dance-drama music (e.g. Indian Bollywood, Chinese, Thai) to western art music (e.g. Italian bel canto, Classical, Jazz). Belly dance is often part of the act. From Ireland to Indonesia, from Chinese opera to Klingon opera, expect the unexpected!
Il Troubadore and Wild Mercy will close the evening with a short joint set to bring the evening to a
rousing conclusion. Rock the pumpkin patch!
